Introduction

We have finished lear= ning about France and the <= st1:place w:st=3D"on">Benelux countries.= We are now ready to start Germany, a European country w= ith a very interesting history. Som= etimes before taking a look at a country it is nice to have some background information about it. That is= the purpose of this WEBQUEST.

The Task<= /span>

The following tasks m= ust be accomplished within this class period!

· = Complete the Web Quest.

· = Complete the Germany PowerPoint Template that you will fill out while completing the= Web Quest.

Resources=

There are many sites available for you to use while doing your research.

Map of Germany - Go to www.google.com and click on Images. In the Search box, type in Germany and click on search.<= /span>

Climate Map – Go to www.go= ogle.com . In the Search box, type in = Climate map. Click on one of the climate maps.<= span style=3D'mso-spacerun:yes'> Copy and past it on the Climate Map Slide. What is the Climate of Germany? Record this on the n= ext slide.

Weather - http://weather.noaa.gov/ <= /span>

World Facts – Go to www.cia.g= ov . On the right hand side of t= he screen, click on World Factbook. Move the arrow at the top of the n= ext screen down until you find Germany. This will provide you with several= facts about Germany.

Pictures – Go to www.google.com and click on Images. In the Search box, type in the name of the person or object you = are looking for and click search. Click on picture you want. Copy obj= ect and paste it into your presentation.

Procedure=

Go to the start menu. Go to All Programs. Go to Microsoft Office. Find Microsoft Office PowerPoint and = click.

In PowerPoint, on the left hand side click on = the slide on the left and click until you have 8 slides.

1^st slide – Heading =3D Your Name<= /o:p>

    =               Sub Heading =3D Hour

2^nd slide – Heading =3D Germany=

    Get a picture of a map of Germany showing everything that borders Germany

3^rd slide – Heading =3D What borders Germany?

    List countries bordering = Germany

4^th slide – Heading =3D Climate Map

    Climate map picture<= /p>
5^th slide – Heading =3D Weather

    What is the capital, Temperature in the capital, and conditions for today (pictu= re)

6^th slide – Heading =3D Population

    Display population. What is the birthrate? What is the death rate? Is the population growing or shrinking?

7^th slide – Heading =3D Religion <= /o:p>

    Display the two main religions found in Germany (have a picture to go with it)

8^th slide – Heading =3D Government

    What type of government do they have? Give name of President and Head of Governm= ent. Include pictures of each.

Print

You need to print your PowerPoint to be turned in. =

Follow these instructions:

1.     Go to file

2.     Go to print and click

3.     On the left side of the print = screen it says print what? Arrow dow= n to where it says (Handouts).

4.     Then look in center of page and under Handouts move it to 4 so it will show 4 slides per page.

5.     Click ok.

6.     Staple your papers together.

7.     Get your printed copy and turn= in to me.

Evaluation

You= will be graded as follows:

Each slide is worth 4pts.<= /p>

Total Points Possible (4pts. × 8 slides) =3D 32 points
